FUNDRAISING
Your PTA donations and volunteer activities support programs that enhance the educational experience for students and provide needed support for Dunn teachers, staff, and the campus. All of these initiatives are dependent upon financial support from Dunn parents, members of the community, and local businesses.
Each year, the Dunn PTA collects the funds needed through a variety of programs.
FUNdfest
​​Your participation in our FUNdfest is reflected in the exceptional education our students receive at Dunn Elementary. These donations are 100% tax deductible and may even be matched by your employer. Be sure to check with your employer’s Human Resources department. A receipt will be sent for your contribution.
​Box Tops goes high tech! Giving back to the PTA has never been easier. Download the Box Tops for Education app, set up an account and then go to Find Your School. Search Dunn Elementary school or the zipcode. Once your account is set up, simply scan your grocery receipt and the funds will automatically go to our school.
Restaurant Nights​​
Restaurant night fundraisers are a simple way to raise money for the PTA. They help build community and give parents a way to support Dunn without a lot of effort. These fundraisers take place throughout the school year at various local restaurants. A date is selected, and Dunn is invited to eat at the restaurant during a set time period. The restaurant then donates a certain percentage back to Dunn. A win-win for all!
Kroger Rewards​​
If you have a Kroger Plus card, link it to our school. You do this by:
1) going to www.kroger.com/communityrewards,
2) creating an online account (if you don’t have one already) connected to your Kroger Rewards Card, and
3) linking your account to Ruth C. Dunn Elementary PTA. Every time you shop at Kroger and use your Plus card, Dunn PTA will automatically get a contribution from Kroger, at no additional cost to you.
SKATE & JUMP PARTIES
​​Our students love to roller-skate and jump on trampolines. We host a few of these throughout the year to raise money. We hope we can in 2021!
​​To give our school a kick-back at no cost to you while shopping on Amazon you need to:
1) go to smile.amazon.com and login to your regular Amazon account (or create one if you don’t have an account),
2) choose the Ruth C Dunn Elem PTA as your recipient charity, and
3) remember to go to the smile.amazon webpage to order off Amazon (it doesn’t help our school if you go to the regular Amazon page even by linking from our webpage).
It can be hard to remember to go to the smile.amazon webpage to order off Amazon. If you bookmark smile.amazon it will help you remember.

People who use the Chrome browser can install a plugin that will automatically redirect all amazon.com pages to smile.amazon.com. Every time you purchase something off Amazon using the “smile” page, Dunn PTA gets a 0.5% contribution, a cost to Amazon merchants, not you.
